On 18/07/2012 in Bursa Robotmer plant , robot milling trial cuts were made by generating codes from SolidCNC and MANUS software.
A robot which has 6 degrees of freedom + a rotary table (total 7 degrees of freedom) was used for 2d cutting , 3d positional machining, 5 axis simulataneous machining. You may watch some moments from the following:

Manufacturing engineers reported that SolidCNC Wire Cut module which was quite easy and fast to learn was very powerfull and effective. They successfully handled the complex shapes by SolidCNC software and even the hard 4axes geometries were easily cut and SolidCNC is an optimal solution for the wire cut applications.

Cut Solutions is an engineering company that sells wire EDM machine tools and give training and technical support for the subject in Germany.They also retrofit the old wire EDM machine tools. Now they also distribute SolidCnc Wire Cutting Software. They already sold 2 seats of SolidCnc to their customers and between 11-13 Jan 2012 , training meeting had been arranged in Mönchengladbach. Cut Solutions and CNC Technological Software System engineers also worked for translating the software interface to German during this time. Soon a full German version will also be avaliable.
