If you give Move... command the move model dialog will appear
If you write the magnitude of delta X, delta Y, delta Z and press OK model selection cycle will begin and system waits for the user to select objects to move.

You can look at the Status Window to see what the system expects user to do.

For moving models you also have the option to move from point to point. Once you click on button Point To Point as first step model selection cycle will begin for you to select geometries to move. Then as a second step point selection cycle begins, you must select two points sequentiallly to move the models from first point to the second.
